People of Darkess explores the life and origins of the Oleps – believed to be the earliest inhabitants of Bhutan. Numbering just 149, the Oleps were on the verge of physical extinction. Now with the onset of modernization another danger lies ahead for the Oleps, the extinction of their distinct culture, language and way of life.
